Summary
ADB-PINACA is a synthetic cannabinoid (an indazolecarboxamide research chemical) and a positional isomer of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids. It acts at the CB1 receptor with sub-nanomolar potency (EC50 = 0.52 nM), making it approximately 3-6 times more potent than THC. This high potency leaves an extremely narrow safety margin, and milligram-scale dosing errors have produced seizures, severe tachycardia, and fatalities. Because of this, it should be weighed with a 0.001 g (1 mg) readability scale and applied evenly to an inert herbal carrier rather than "eye-balled" as liquid drops.
Dose Information
Dose basis. Doses are aggregated from community reports and case data; potency between batches varies markedly. Because milligram-level errors can cause overdose, volumetric solutions (e.g., 1β2 mg/mL in ethanol/acetone) applied evenly to inert herb and thoroughly dried are preferred over sprinkling dry powder. Avoid βeyeballingβ or drop-counting. Source quality is highly variable in βSpice/K2β-type products. Oral effects are slower, longer, and harder to titrate. Start low due to delayed onset and risk of stacking. Many severe SCRA poisonings occur with mislabeled commercial products; treat any unknown edible/vape as potentially overdosed. Add to PsychonautWiki Journal
The PsychonautWiki Journal logging app doesn't include every substance. To track ADB-PINACA there, start adding an ingestion, search for the name, and choose to add it as a custom substance. Paste these values:
ADB-PINACA Source: SubstanceSearch (substancesearch.com) Smoked dose (mg): threshold 0.5 (applied to plant material or concentrate) Β· light 0.5-1 Β· common 1-2 Β· strong 2-4 Β· heavy 4+ Oral dose (mg): threshold 1 Β· light 1-2 Β· common 2-3 Β· strong 3-5 Β· heavy 5+ Smoked duration: onset 1-2m Β· peak 5-30m Β· offset 1-2h Β· total 1.09-2.53h Β· after-effects 6-24h Oral duration: onset 15-45m Β· peak 0.5-1.5h Β· offset 2-3h Β· total 2.75-5.25h Β· after-effects 6-24h Note: ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription. Start low, go slow, and test your substances.
Tip: for quicker logging you can also add a Custom Unit in the app, e.g. common dose ~ 1.5 mg (Smoked).
The app keeps custom substances simple, so the full dose ranges live in the description text above. Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
Tolerance
Tolerance Decay
Acute tolerance: develops within a single session β the reset numbers above apply after sustained heavy use, not after one binge. Within-session tachyphylaxis usually resets largely overnight.
Frequent SCRA administration leads to rapid tolerance build-up and withdrawal (irritability, insomnia, sweats, nausea) described widely in community reports. Decay appears partial over 1β2 weeks with further recovery by ~4 weeks in many users; exact kinetics are not established.
