Summary
Amanita muscaria (also known as fly agaric or fly amanita) is a semi-psychoactive mushroom that grows widely in the northern hemisphere; such as in the Boreal region. It is noted for its hallucinogenic properties, which are derived from its primary psychoactive constituents ibotenic acid and muscimol. Muscimol is a potent, selective agonist for the GABAA receptor that produces sedative, depressant and deliriant effects.

My Amanita Muscaria Experience Part 1 I have encountered the beautiful majestic Amanita Muscaria many times, but other than a passing glance I never really thought too much of this mystical fungi.
My goal with psychedelics has changed the more i have used them, they have cured me of an almost 10 year depression, and more recently convinced me of an existance beyond living. It was with such expectations i turned to Fly Agaric.
This extremely strong experience wasnt planned. I didnt expect anything so intense until I found myself deep inside it inside a vision of everything, of the space-time continuum, some possible futures of our civilization and more... Towards the end, I hoped I would not remember. But I do, and its not a problem.

Speed is of the essence. Or at least, it was. You see, the last thing that I remember before in engaging in what I believe is amongst the 'true psychedelic potential' of amanita.. I had a curious little vision.. I had my 45min nap after some moderate nausea and extreme tiredness..
So Sunday night, I was finally able to hang out with my friend who had my Amanita Muscaria's (and salvia). He told me he tried a few caps and nothing happened, so I looked at the baggie... It had quite a few caps, but a whole lot of bits and peices too.
Background: This experience was with two close friends, one who had the same dose and other who acted as the sober sitter. As far as psychedelic experience goes, we are both quite familiar with LSD, psilocybe mushrooms and DMT, with a fair spattering of other substances along the road.
First try (test dose): Ate 4g with dinner. Onset 3hr, peak 4.5hr, sedative body buzz. Second try (this report): Ate 12.5g after jogging on empty stomach (chewed it up plain and washed it down with water, like a MAN!)
