Aliases: Cannabigerolic acid
Summary
Cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) is the acidic, non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid from which the cannabis plant builds the others: synthase enzymes convert CBGA into THCA, CBDA and CBCA, which decarboxylate into THC, CBD and CBC. It produces no high, and no recreational dose, duration or effect profile exists for it. It is encountered as a component of raw cannabis and of hemp extracts.
Tolerance
Tolerance Decay
Acute tolerance: develops within a single session — the reset numbers above apply after sustained heavy use, not after one binge. Within-session tachyphylaxis usually resets largely overnight.
