Summary
Eutylone is frequently mis-sold as MDMA in festival and party settings globally. It produces stimulant and empathogenic effects but with shorter euphoria and more pronounced comedown, including anxiety and headaches. In 2021, eutylone was the most commonly identified cathinone by the DEA. Fatalities and hospitalizations have been reported, especially with high doses or polydrug use. Many eutylone-involved deaths also involved fentanyl, cocaine, or methamphetamine.
