Summary
Flmodafinil (CRL-40,940; bisfluoromodafinil; lauflumide) is a bis(4-fluoro) derivative of modafinil with enhanced dopamine transporter affinity and improved lipophilicity. Unlike modafinil, it does not induce CYP3A4 or CYP3A5 enzymes, reducing drug-drug interactions. Animal studies demonstrate robust wake-promoting activity without classic amphetamine-like locomotor sensitisation.
