Summary
Fluorolintane exhibits high-affinity NMDA antagonism (Ki = 87.92 nM) with even stronger dopamine and norepinephrine transporter blockade, producing stimulant-euphoriant effects at light doses. ED50 for sensorimotor-gating disruption in rats is 13.3 mg/kg i.p. Subjective duration is shorter than diphenidine but more compulsive. Acute side effects include tachycardia, hypertension, nystagmus, and delayed urinary retention. No human pharmacokinetic data exists; rat microsome studies suggest elimination half-life of 4-8 hours with active hydroxylated metabolites.
