Summary
Tetrahydrocannabutol (THCB) is the butyl homologue of THC — the same dibenzopyran scaffold with a four-carbon side chain in place of THC's five. It occurs naturally in cannabis in trace amounts and binds CB1 with affinity comparable to THC in the limited published assays. Human data is essentially nonexistent; products sold as THCB are semi-synthetic hemp derivatives of untested purity.
