Summary
2,5-Dimethoxy-4-ethylphenethylamine (also known as 2C-E, or colloquially as "Aquarust" and "Eternity") is a lesser-known psychedelic substance of the phenethylamine class. It is a member of the 2C-x family of psychedelic phenethylamines, which are closely related to the classical psychedelic mescaline. Like other psychedelics, it is thought to produce its effects by binding to serotonin receptors in the brain, although the precise mechanism is poorly understood.

**Preface:** 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-ethylphenethylamine (2C-E) barely needs an introduction, itΒs one of Alexander ShulginΒs "magical half-dozen" members and rightfully so. This substance is an unpredictable, dose-sensitive and long-lasting phenethylamine which is quite unlike the other 2C compounds.
Setting: Remote forest location. Set: Good mood, excited, longing for peace. Within an hour the most difficult feelings imaginable came up and I soon realized there was no way to escape them.
**I realize that making the decision of taking an unknown chemical of an unknown dosage was not the wisest. I was fifteen and made a very uneducated dangerous decision the night I took 2C-E** This is the story of my first earth shattering, psychedelic trip experience.
A brief backround of me: Served 4 years in the Marine Corps, including a tour in Iraq. Developed a drug problem after returning from Iraq, got an Other Than Honorable discharge. Which is actually pretty lucky, considering I was dealing. Faced 60 years for distribution of Ecstasy, LSD, Mushrooms, and Cocaine.
After Burning Man 2000, I magically found myself in possession of a little foil packet containing 100 mg of 2C-E. This was probably something I'd never see again, so I had to make the most of these precious crumbs.
Intro: This is my first experience with psychoactive substances. Before this night I had only smoked dro once. I have really close friends who helped sit me, and understood the effects of 2c-e and how to take care of me. Overall I couldn't tell you if it was a good or bad trip, but only it was perfect and complete.
