    Summary dose.wiki

Agmatine is an endogenous amine stored in synaptic vesicles and released on neuronal activation. It agonises imidazoline I1/I2 sites, inhibits NOS, and blocks NMDA receptor channels in a voltage-dependent manner, collectively producing mild anxiolysis, vascular smooth-muscle relaxation, and anti-addictive effects. Oral bioavailability is roughly 30%, with plasma half-life 75-120 min but brain/spinal half-life ~12 h, explaining why twice-daily split dosing maintains opioid-tolerance–reversal despite short plasma kinetics.

Dose basis. Community use typically 250–1,000 mg per dose. A human open‑label case series for neuropathic pain used 2.67 g/day for 2 months without serious adverse events reported; higher daily intakes appear to increase rates of GI upset and dizziness. Evidence base is limited; dosing guidance is largely derived from user reports with one small human series. (Dose figures and this note are from Drugs.Wiki.)

The PsychonautWiki Journal logging app doesn't include every substance. To track Agmatine there, start adding an ingestion, search for the name, and choose to add it as a custom substance. Paste these values:

⬇ Download import file Import this file as custom substances and you get "Agmatine (Substance Search)" with every route's full dose ladder and timeline, no typing. Works on iOS and Android (v15+); the format is confirmed by the app's developer. The manual values below work for older versions.

Note: ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription. Start low, go slow, and test your substances.

Tip: for quicker logging you can also add a Custom Unit in the app, e.g. common dose ~ 625 mg (Oral).

The app keeps custom substances simple, so the full dose ranges live in the description text above. Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
