I have an anxiety disorder and have been investigating OTC anxiolytics for potency. Since some benzodiazepines have stronger effects or come up faster when taken sublingually or intranasally, I investigate different routes of administration with new substances I try.

Various Experiences With Spirit of Camellia I bought some pure theanine from a reputable online retailer a few months back. One of the tidbits on dosing I read somewhere is 'take upon the first signs of stress' this is a pretty good guideline (if taking for stress anxiety).
Background: Ordered some l-theanine a couple of days ago. Just recieved it and decided to take it at the beginning of my work shift at 09:18 for experimental purposes. T+0:00 - Mixed ~600mgs in a glass with a little water and drank it. Very weird taste. Sweet undertones but pretty gross.
I ordered a bottle of L-theanine online. I am currently on xanax 1 milligram at night to sleep. I am a very anxious, high-strung personality, so I figured I would give the theanine a try. After a weigh lifting workout, I took 200 milligrams. Usually it takes me a while to relax from the pre-workout caffeine.
I have had severe anxiety for 15 years. Utterly crippling, and unaffected by any prescribed med. I was clean of all mood altering meds when I took the L-theanine. I took 200mg L-theanine in evening before bed and anxiety dropped away in a half hour. I wasn't euphoric at all, just free of anxiety.
