2-NMC
Aliases: Bmapn, Ξk-methamnetamine
Summary
2-NMC (BMAPN) is a synthetic cathinone with a naphthalene ring substitution that exhibits potent dopaminergic activity and abuse potential in animal models. Virtually no controlled human pharmacology data exists. Animal studies indicate it produces locomotor sensitization, decreases dopamine transporter expression, and increases dopamine D2 receptor gene expression in the striatum.

Effect Profile
Scores (1–10) curated from multiple sources:
- Effect keyword matching from PsychonautWiki catalog
- Weighted by importance: core (×3), major (×2), minor (×1)
Mild stimulation with low empathy, euphoria, and sensory enhancement
Strong anxiety/jitters with mild euphoria, low stimulation
Tolerance
Tolerance Decay
Based on stimulant crossβtolerance heuristics and user reports; frequent redosing within a day rapidly diminishes effects. Allow at least 1β2 weeks between sessions for baseline sensitivity to return.
