    Summary TheDrug.Wiki TripSit PsychonautWiki

2,5-Dimethoxy-4-methylphenethylamine (also known as 2C-M, LE-25 and more commonly as 2C-D) is a synthetic psychedelic of the phenethylamine chemical class that produces short-lived psychedelic effects when administered. Its sensory and cognitive effects profile has been described as being the most similar to that of mescaline among members of the 2C-x family, albeit with a significantly shorter duration. The synthesis of 2C-D was first published in 1970 by a team from the Texas Research Institute of Mental Sciences.

    Perspectives

“There were two noteworthy things about this experience: how instantly and intensely painful snorting the chemical was, and how short it wasβ€”fast, intense, pretty uncomfortable, but passed into nothing fairly quickly. Overall it felt very standard and inconsequential.”

“There is something going on, but it is subtle. I find that I can just slightly redirect my attention so that it applies more exactly to what I am doing. I feel that I can learn faster. This is a β€˜smart’ pill!”

Classic psychedelics exhibit rapid tolerance and cross‑tolerance mediated by 5‑HT2A signaling; typical advice is spacing experiences by 1–2 weeks for a β€˜fresh’ response. Data are synthesized from historical and user‑reported sources; formal human PK/PD tolerance studies for 2C‑D are lacking.
